I read with interest that the new playground in Dundonald Park cost £467,000. I am not sure how it can as it is full of the old play equipment, other than the four swings and the small children’s climbing frame, slide, climbing ropes etc that never made the move. What happened to these?
Perhaps the £467,000 will be used to compensate for the inevitable injuries caused to the small children who are knocked over by the swings which have been perfectly placed in the middle of the walk from the entrance to the (now smaller) sandpit. They genuinely couldn’t have been located in more inappropriate place.
I live on Cliveden Road and have a one, two and a five year-old. I went to the swings last Saturday and it was chaos.
Perhaps pop down on a Saturday with a camera and interview some of the parents down there. It will make for interesting reading. Someone has made a rather big error.
Regards
Ben Ford
