Re British MP’s banned from visiting Hong Kong as old tensions between China and Great Britain resurface, how can we support the pro democracy protest in the former British colony when democracy did not exist under British rule and the chief executive and the governors were only ever appointed by Westminster?
Also polls are showing that a majority of Hong Kongers wish the protests to end and revert back to the excellent British legal system that has prevailed for the last 100 years.
We have just returned from Hong Kong (Discovery Bay) and hope that the protesters do not force Beiging to arrive with their mighty force.
