Last month I wrote to Wimbledon's MP, Stephen Hammond, regarding my concerns about Wimbledon train station and the number of fatal incidents there.
After the last victim was known to me I thought it was high time I spoke out before it got any closer to home, and the response I've seen has been outstanding. I enquired as to what further measures could be carried out to prevent any further deaths as they are particularly prevalent at Wimbledon Station in particular.
I suggested perhaps improved barriers on platforms which fast trains run through and also posters with helpline numbers to perhaps help those who may be contemplating suicide.
I was delighted to see such posters and what looked like better barriers on platforms when I travelled through the station last night.
I'm glad that this issue was taken so seriously and action was taken so quickly, really cannot commend Mr Hammond and his assistant Sally, whom I corresponded with, enough. Hopefully this will help prevent any further tragedies in the future.
