London Scottish hooker Ted Stagg believes stopping the rot when Jersey visit tomorrow could be a defining moment in the season, writes Andy Weston.
Scottish produced a disappointing performance last Friday losing 16-8 at the Cornish Pirates on the back of a narrow home loss against Rotherham Titans the week before.
They host the islanders at the Athletic Ground tomorrow and Stagg is desperate for the side to return to winning ways.
He said: “The top four have started to pull away a little bit although the ways things have gone so far, a couple of good wins and you can be right back in the mix.
“After two losses it is a really important stage of the season, almost make or break. We have to dig in and get the victory.”
Stagg joined the club in the summer from Rotherham Titans and feels he is improving as a player thanks to the help of acting head coach and former hooker James Buckland.
Stagg said: “Playing in the same position as him helpswith the technical aspect of things. James has stepped up and done a really good job since Simon Amor left.”
