Harlequins playmaker Nick Evans has warned his team mates to expect a Saracens backlash at the Stoop on Sunday, writes Stuart Amos.
Director of rugby Conor O’Shea’s men beat Leicester Tigers 22-9 at Welford Road on Saturday to preserve their winning start to the campaign.
But the win came at a price with Jordan Turner-Hall (shoulder), Tom Williams (hamstring) and Ross Chisholm (knee) all limping off.
Meanwhile, former Premiership champions Saracens fell to a surprise 14-12 defeat at Exeter Chiefs and Evans expects a response.
“They will be hurting after that defeat,” he said.
“We know what they bring to the table in terms of their physicality, but it is nice to see they are starting to try to play a bit more footy now.
“That is something we need to be aware of and we will need to make sure we counter that.
“The Leicester game was all about improving our own perfomance and this week is no different.”
