In-form Rennes continued their recent good run with a 2-0 victory at Bordeaux.
Ismaila Sarr made the breakthrough just after half-time in what had been a tight match, getting his name on the score sheet for the third straight Ligue 1 fixture.
Bordeaux were largely restricted to efforts from outside the penalty area as they tried to find an equalising goal, before Yoann Gourcuff sealed a fourth win in a six-game unbeaten streak for Rennes with a strike after 86 minutes.
