Dons hot-shot Matt Tubbs is keen to maintain his phenomenal record of winning promotion with every professional club he has represented.

Tubbs has been promoted six times in the past nine years with four different clubs.

The 30-year-old first tasted promotion with back-to-back successes in 2006 and 2007 at Salisbury City.

He then repeated the feat at Crawley Town four years later taking them into League One.

Having earned a move to AFC Bournemouth in 2012, Tubbs enjoyed immediate success, gaining promotion to the Championship in his first season on the south coast.

Finally, after being set aside by Eddie Howe, Tubbs’ loan spell at Rotherham ended in them securing a victory on penalties in the League One play off final against Leyton Orient at Wembley.

Tubbs said: “I’ve had promotion with everyone I’ve played for, and I don’t think anyone in the dressing room here will be happy to be outside the play-offs.

“If that’s the case they should move on now. Everyone at this club wants the same thing.”

He added: “There’s no better feeling than getting promotion. Hopefully I can continue my run here.”
