AFC Wimbledon will be deducted three points and fined £5,000 after being charged with fielding an ineligible player, Jake Nicholson, in the League Two match against Cheltenham on March 22.
The game ended in a 4-3 win for the Dons, and it is those three points which today's Football Disciplinary Commission hearing have deducted.
Despite this, and Saturday's 3-0 home defeat to Morecambe, Neal Ardley's men are safe from relegation with one game remaining.
The club were also hit with a £5,000 fine, suspended until the end of next season - and they have been ordered to pay the costs of the hearing.
