AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley hailed the club's strength in adversity after a dramatic comeback ended in 4-3 win over Cheltenham.
A Danny Hylton brace and a Jake Nicholson strike overturnd a 2-0 deficit in the space of three minutes, only for the visitors to level for 3-3.
However, Jack Midson grabbed a 97th minute winner in the pouring rain to cap a remarkable match at the Cherry Red Records stadium.
Ardley told Dons Player: "We spoke on Friday and I am no psychologist but I understand what makes footballers anxious and nervous.
"We talked about what might happen if we are down and what we would do. We had to stay together and that includes the staff because it’s a test for us too."
He added: “We could not lose our heads and we stayed positive and tried to push the players on even when we were 2-0 down.
"That’s the positive in that we came through adversity. The players kept going and kept going and the statistics show that.
Strength in numbers: Dons get into the huddle ahead of the drama
"We put in 30 crosses and had 17 attempts on goal. We tried to get the crowd up and give them what they wanted and that paid off.”
Dons, unbeaten in three, go to Northampton on Tuesday night, followed by a trip to Mansfield on Saturday.
