Brentford fans celebrated long and hard after Brentford’s title-winning 3-1 triumph at Darlington on Saturday and midfielder David Hunt’s sleight of hand has revealed the joyous scenes weren’t limited to the stands.

The 26-year-old shot a one minute video in the player’s dressing room at the weekend - which featured on Sky Sports - as champagne corks were popped to mark the Bees’ historic win.

The clip shows the triumphant Brentford squad and backroom staff marking the occasion in style and Hunt - who also took souvenir pictures of the Bees travelling support from the pitch - has no problem with lifting the lid on what went on behind closed doors at the weekend.

“It was absolutely brilliant to finish the job, so it wasn’t left to the final day. It was a great experience and one I won’t forget,” he said.

“There are not many players with league winners medals, so you have to enjoy it while you can and make sure you savour it all.”

Fans celebrated with players when the squad returned to Griffin Park on Saturday night and Hunt admitted a few of the boys will be disappointed they didn’t head back to the club.

“I had my car in Wycombe so didn’t go back to the club. I’m a bit gutted because no one expected the party. I should imagine the lads who weren’t there are disappointed they didn’t get there,” he added.
