Tooting & Mitcham United fans are building a giant Easter Egg pyramid to donate to sick youngsters.
Supporters are collecting eggs for first team manager Mark Beard and his team to deliver to children at St Helier Hospital in Rosehill and Tooting’s St George’s Hospital over Easter weekend.
“This is a such a good cause,” said Beard, the former Sheffield United and Millwall star. “Everyone from the club and the Hub is taking part. We have had loads of donations already so we are on our way now but want to get as many people involved as possible to light up the faces of the kids stuck in hospital at such an important time of the year for families.”
Hospices in Sutton, Merton and Wandsworth will also be visited by the Ryman Premier League team after they teamed up with the club’s sponsors co-operative funeralcare who are organising the event for the second year running.
Donations are being taken at the Hub at Tooting & Mitcham’s Imperial Fields ground and also at the co-operative funeralcare in London Road, Morden.
