Kingston & Polytechnic Harrier Phoebe Law will get over her World Junior Cross Country Championship heartache with a great summer.
The 18-year-old middle distance specialist picked up an illness this week was forced to pull out of Saturday's junior women's race in China.
Law, who marked her GB international cross country debut with team gold at the European Championships last year, had qualified for the team with victory at the British trials in Birmingham earlier this month.
Her trip to the Far East would have capped a tremendous winter for the Surbiton High School student.
And coach Richard Holt reckons she will put the disappointment by behind her by reaping the benefits of her hard work on the track this summer.
"Unfortunately, Phoebe has had to pull out of the World Championships as she has picked up an illness," he said confirming the news this week.
"Naturally, she is very disappointed about this, but she will bounce back having had a fantastic winter."
