Belgrave Harriers William Sharman gave an honest assessment of his disappointing run at ISTAF IAAF World Challenge event in Berlin on Sunday describing it as a "bit flat".
The 29-year-old finished fourth in a time of 13.35 seconds in his latest men's 110m hurdles encounter - Cuba's in-form Orlando Ortega took the honours on the Berlin Olympic Stadium track in superior, fashion clocking 13.08secs.
"It wasn't a very good race," said the reigning British Champion Sharman. "I got out there and felt a little bit flat."
And Sharman admitted he felt tired after a busy Commonwealth Games and European Championships schedule where he silver medalled at both events.
He added: "I haven't really trained properly since the Europeans."
Sharman goes to Zagreb, Croatia today (Tuesday) before heading to Brussels, Belgium for IAAF Diamond League Finale this Friday.
