Surbiton's Moe Sbihi has warned Team GB men's four has plenty of room for improvement ahead of the World Championships next month.

Sbihi will race in the blue riband event in Amsterdam in August alongside fellow Molesey Boat Club men Andrew Triggs Hodge and George Nash, with Alex Gregory completing the crew.

Performance director Sir David Tanner and chief coaches Jurgen Grobler and Paul Thompson have largely kept faith with the squad that has delivered 31 medals at World Cup and European level this season 12 of them gold.

And Sbihi is confident his boat will only get better between now and getting on the start line in Holland.

“I’m excited looking ahead to Amsterdam. Looking forward to getting our heads down over the next couple of weeks and seeing what changes and speed increases we can make," he said.

“Of course the season we’ve had so far has given us a lot of confidence - it’s almost been perfect in some ways but we know as a crew that there’s much more to give.

"The challenging part and the exciting part is trying to find that bit extra and seeing how much we can improve in the next couple of weeks because I don’t think we’re the finished article yet."

Molesey Boat CLub'sJames Foad competes in the men's pair alongside Matt Langridge, while former Weybridge Rowing Club man Matthew Tarrant is in the men's eight.

Twickenham's John Collins and Jonny Walton are in the men's double sculls boat having reached World Cup and European finals this summer, while Richmond-based Olympic bronze medallist Alan Campbell is a surprise ommition from the men's single sculls.
