I am a registered blind individual, currently living in a council home. My front door is a very old wooden unsafe door, which is very stiff and I need people to push the door from the outside to let me out.
I don't feel safe at all, I have had workers in to fix the door but hasn't fixed stiffness, therefore it is still difficult for me to get out being registered blind.
It has been 5 months since the first time I had problems with the door. I keep calling to find out what is going on, all they say is 'I'll call you back' but I hear nothing whatsoever.
As far as I'm aware they owe me a duty of care, they are in serious health & safety breach because if there was a fire I wouldn't be able to get out.
