Porn king Larry Flynt opened his first UK lapdancing club in Croydon last week.

Big Brother eight contestant Ziggy, who hit the headlines because of his romance with fellow housemate Chanelle, was there to officially open the night spot in Crown Hill.

Hustler took over the site of the former For Your Eyes Only, which was once hailed as the best run club in Croydon.

Epsom resident Aaron Moon, who attended the opening, told the Croydon Guardian: "It was really good fun. The later it got in the night the better the girls got. I had a good chat with Ziggy but I think he got a bit distracted by the women. I was sat right by the stage and it was a bit intimidating at first but it was fine once I'd had a few drinks.

"It wasn't the classiest place I had ever been to and I thought it would be a bit bigger and maybe a bit more tasteful inside but as the night went on it got full and it was better like that."

Some customers complained about the price of drinks, with the cheapest drink being a bottle of beer, which was £5. The most expensive, for Croydonians with deep pockets, was a £1,200 bottle of champagne.

Wide-eyed onlookers watched as pole-dancing legend and previous world champion Elena Gibson took to the Hustler stage.

The famed US owner of Hustler, Larry Flynt, whose life story was turned into a feature film, said: "We are very excited because Europeans, especially Londoners, like and appreciate the concept of a Hustler Club and we are certain it will be a success."
