The MP for Carshalton and Wallington is to table a motion in Parliament out of his concerns for St Helier Hospital.
Tom Brake, the MP for Carshalton and Wallington will call for local healthcare reviews to be as comprehensive as possible to avoid a repeat of the “flawed” review which recommended the closure of vital services at St Helier Hospital.
Mr Brake said: “The decision to close A&E and maternity services at St Helier is based upon a flawed process.
“As a community we are fighting to save our local health services but I also want to make sure flawed reviews do not lead to similar situations elsewhere.”
Mr Brake will table the Early Day Motion when Parliament returns and will be encouraging other MPs to support the motion.
