Taste of Brazil to end the Olympics in Merton Abbey Mills
9:00am Sunday 19th August 2012 in News By Lauren May, Chief Reporter
A Brazilian-themed celebration brought the 2012 Games to an end last week.
Hundreds enjoyed a free event at Merton Abbey Mills on Wednesday, August 8, to celebrate the end of the Games with live music, food stalls, arts and crafts, and kids’ activities.
The day culminated with an open air concert performed by Brazilian dance and samba act Viramundo – who have performed at the Notting Hill Carnival – acknowledging the South American country as hosts of the next Olympic Games in 2016.
