St Raphael’s Hospice shops have made over £1million in sales over a year.
This is the first time the hospice’s chain of 11 shops throughout Sutton, Merton and Epsom has achieved such a huge amount.
The total which has been made over the financial year ending on March 31 will help the hospice raise much needed funds in its 25th anniversary year.
This figure includes £80,000 generated through the shops’ Gift Aid scheme.
Jan Cunningham, Retail Manager, St Raphael’s Hospice, said: “We are over the moon and extremely happy.
“It’s a tremendous achievement and I want to thank our managers and volunteers for all their help and support – without them, we wouldn’t survive.
“Thank you to all of them and of course to all our customers and to everyone who generously donates goods all year round.
“The top shop that took the most money was Raynes Park, taking over £125,000, but we are grateful to all the shops for their contribution to raising funds for the Hospice.”
