A third man has been charged with the murder of a man found stabbed to death in a council estate.

Chukwurunim Dexter Ozour, of Glebe Path, Mitcham, is accused of murdering Mahad Mohammed in the Winstanley estate in Wye Street, Battersea.

Mr Mohammed, of Sporle Court, was found with stab wounds outside Pennethorne House, also in the estate.

The 20-year-old victim was found lying in a pool of his own blood by neighbours and was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

On the night of his death, Mr Mohammed had been to a bar in Streatham with his brother and they stopped at a convenience store to buy cigarettes on their way home.

Driving in an Audi, he took his brother home before returning to the Winstanley Estate, where a short time later he was stabbed.

Earlier this month two men were given life sentences for his murder.

Jermaine Sawyers, 19, and Cori Lindsey, 18, both of no fixed address, were found guilty following a trial at the Old Bailey.

Sawyers was given life imprisonment with a minimum of 20 years. Lindsey was given life imprisonment with a minimum of 14-and-a-half years.

A third teenager, Omar Harrison, 19, of Kenmore Road, Harrow, was also given nine years for manslaughter.

Mr Ozour, also 19, has been remanded in custody and will appear again at the Old Bailey today.
