A man was killed after he was struck by a train at Wimbledon station this evening.
The man, who has not been named, collided with the train about 5.20pm.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
A British Transport police (BTP) spokesman said officers attended the station after the man collided with the Poole to Waterloo train.
The incident caused delays of more than an hour to some train journeys.
Any witnesses to the incident are asked to call BTP on 0800 40 50 40.
