Health bosses hope a new centralised call centre will make getting an appointment at St Helier Hospital easier.

Patients who are referred to hospital by their GP can now book or change an outpatient appointment within any department by calling 020 8296 2968.

The appointments centre can also be accessed via Epsom and St Helier Trust’s website - epsom-sthelier.nhs.uk/appointments.

Sue Jones, the Trust’s director of service improvement said: “We are moving away from the days when patients are referred to hospital, are put on a waiting list and then receive a letter from the hospital telling them when and where their appointment is.”
