A woman has reported to police that she was sexually assaulted by a man near Morden tube station.

On November 8, 2022, the victim was approached by a man who began shouting and swearing at her.

He then sexually assaulted her before walking into the Superdrug store.

The incident occurred outside Bus Stop C between 4.30pm and 4.45pm.

The suspect is described as white, of a large build, bald with a beard, and was wearing a maroon jacket.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing but are now appealing for witnesses to “add extra weight to the case".

A spokesperson for Merton Police said: “#APPEAL – Morden Underground Station “We are looking for more information and witnesses to assist with an ongoing current investigation.

“An incident was reported to us in relation to a sexual assault outside Bus Stop C, by Morden Underground Station.

“The offence happened between 4.30pm and 4.45pm on the 8th November 2022.

“A male suspect assaulted a female victim after shouting and swearing at them.

“The male then walked into the Superdrug store.

“We have undertaken an extensive CCTV search and the investigation is continuing but wanted to ask if anyone had anything that they remember from the time mentioned to add extra weight to the case.

“The suspect is white, with a big build. He is bald with a beard, and was wearing a maroon jacket.

“Any information should be reported to us on 101 quoting reference 1413942/22.
