An abusive repeat caller to the Metropolitan Police from Mitcham has been jailed.
Lee Ferguson, of Moore Close, repeatedly called the Metropolitan Police and abused them on October 28, 2022.
Police say the abusive calls prevented genuine 999 calls from being answered.
The 38-year-old was sentenced to prison for nine weeks.
Mitcham MPS said: “Jailed.
“On October 28, 2022, an abusive repeat caller, Lee Ferguson, 39, of Moore Close, Mitcham, was sentenced to imprisonment for 9 weeks.
“His abuse was directed at @MetCC handlers, which prevented genuine 999 calls from being answered.”
