The ground floor of a mid-terraced home in Wimbledon Park was damaged by a fire early this morning (November 16).
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to Durnsford Road at 6.39am.
Fire crews from Wimbledon, Wandsworth, Tooting and Mitcham fire stations brought the blaze under control by 7.50am.
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is now being investigated.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a house fire on Durnsford Road in Wimbledon Park.
“Part of the ground floor of a mid-terraced house was damaged by fire.
“There were no reports of any injuries.
“The Brigade was called at 0639 and the fire was under control by 0750.
“Fire crews from Wimbledon, Wandsworth, Tooting and Mitcham fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
