A man has appeared in court charged with stealing almost £2,000 worth of equipment – including 10 golf clubs - from Mitcham Golf Club.
Brendan Paul Sullivan, 53, of Elmfield Avenue, Mitcham, has been charged with six counts of theft from the club in Carshalton Road between January 1, 2016 and March 26, 2016.
He is accused of stealing 10 golf clubs, a pair of golf shoes and £160 in cash from members of the club, in an overall haul valued at £1,895.
Mr Sullivan pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 31.
He will next appear at Kingston Crown Court on September 27.
