Police were called to Wimbledon Station this morning after a man went onto the tracks to get a ball.
The British Transport Police (BTP) were called to the station shortly before 10am this morning to reports of a man trespassing on the train tracks.
A spokesman for the BTP said: “It is believed a man trespassed on the tracks to retrieve a lost item.

“A 24-year-old man was spoken to by officers at the scene, and all parties agreed for the incident to be resolved by community resolution.”
Community resolutions remain on a person's permanent record but avoid the need to go to court. They are usually used for low-level first offences after the offender has apologised for their actions.
