A knife-wielding robber burst into a town centre shop last night and escaped with cash.
Staff in Superdrug in Majestic Walk, Mitcham, were robbed at knife-point last night after a man went into the store and demanded cash.
Police say he showed the terrified member of staff the knife but not used it before leaving with the money.
Nobody was hurt and police are trawling through CCTV images of the area to identify him.
It happened at about 6pm, about an hour before the store was due to close for the day.
A member of staff at the shop today confirmed the robbery had taken place but did not wish to comment further.
