A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being hit by lorry.
The Metropolitan police confirmed that a 57-year-old man has been taken to hospital with head injuries after a collision with a DAF truck.
Police were called to the incident, in London Road, Mitcham, near the Willow Lane industrial estate at 4.20pm this afternoon.
Road closures are in place on London Road, Carshalton Road and Goat Road, and buses are being diverted.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area if possible.
It is the same area where 17 year-old Claudia Landa was fatally hit by a lorry in April last year.
