Primary school children have been enjoying a revamped adventure playground they helped to design.
L-R: Serah Scaria (4), Alessi Marzocchi (4) and Missus Mackenzie enjoy the new sandpit
A 1.5m sand pit, car and bicycle track, mud kitchen and water pump all feature in the £34,000 facility at St Peter and Paul Primary School in Mitcham.
Caroline MacKenzie, foundation stage leader at the school, said: "The children absolutely love it. They love the sand pit especially and now they just want to be outdoors all the time."
The facility at the Cricket Green school is used daily by 60 reception class pupils and 52 nursery pupils.
Key stage one pupils, who wrote letters to builders with design suggestions when they were in reception, also use the playground.
