Do you aspire to have the body of a ballerina? An LA fitness fad promoted by the Made in Chelsea set has branched out from the Kings Road with a new studio in Wimbledon Village.

Barrecore is a ballet-barre inspired fitness class using bands, balls, light weights and the barre to promote stronger and leaner physiques.

Led by professional ballerinas, hour-long classes usually consist of a 10 minute upper body workout, 25 minutes of leg and seat exercises, 20 minutes of core conditioning and five minutes of warm down.

The signature classes are designed to offer a low-impact, full-body interval training programme integrating muscle-strengthening exercises with stretching.

Located in the basement of the Sweaty Betty shop in Wimbledon High Street, the studio offers morning, lunchtime and evening classes throughout the week.

It's not cheap - 60-minute classes cost £28 a pop, with monthly membership at £250 and annual membership at £2,900.

But if you're concerned about your physique and are feeling unmotivated by the gym, Barrecore could be for you.

Barrecore; 49 High Street, Wimbledon Village; for more information about membership offers, class schedules and booking information, visit barrecore.co.uk, or call 020 7624 0523.
