A 25-year-old man has died after being hit by a car while cycling in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident, which took place in Kingston Road, close to the junction with Bushey Road in Raynes Park at about 12.45am.
The collision involved a cyclist and a silver Honda Accord, which stopped at the scene.
The driver of the car, a 32-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
London Ambulance Service took the cyclist to hospital, where he died nine hours later at 9.45am.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course and no formal identification has yet been made.
