A Greek myth with a modern twist came to life on stage as reward to a young playwright.
Delighted 10-year-old Yana Imykshenova watched as her version of the Minotaur story was performed by actors at the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon on Friday in front of classmates from West Wimbledon Primary School.
The youngster was picked out of hundreds of entries in the Creative Writing Competition for children aged eight to 11 years to win her story performed on stage.
Her class also watched the play the Minotaur, running at the Polka since May 24, for free after the performance on Friday, May 16.
