Newsquest’s Young Reporter Short Course is recruiting now (you’ll need to be quick)

Newsquest’s Young Reporter Scheme is currently recruiting for its Short Course, but you’ll need to be quick if you want to get involved.
Open to school students in years 10 to 13, the scheme offers them an insight into working in the media.
The four-month programme allows students to collaborate closely with industry professionals, hone their writing skills, and see every article they write published.
While on the course they can build a portfolio, develop their creative voice, and gain firsthand insight into news reporting.
Having work published with Newsquest Media Group, one of the largest newspaper distributors in the UK, makes this experience an impressive addition to any CV or UCAS application.
During the four months, students have the opportunity to be fast tracked onto a four year degree apprenticeship, which is accredited by the NCTJ, the industry standard regulators.
Registration for the Short Course closes on Friday, January 17.
