England failed to make use of home advantage at Surbiton Croquet Club last week as dreams of claiming the World Golf Croquet Team Championship title evaporated in Surbiton this week.

England, who boasted current association croquet world champion Stephen Mulliner in their ranks, finished second in Pool B to reach the knockout stages where they lost 11-2 to Pool A winners Egypt in Thursday's semi-finals.
