A host of Premier League clubs failed in late bids to sign Stoke City defender Geoff Cameron, according to reports.
American outlet ProSoccerTalk say four top-flight clubs expressed an interest in the 31-year-old, but Stoke were unwilling to offload the player.
It is claimed Crystal Palace and Sunderland hoped to bolster their defensive options in the latter stages of the summer window and targeted Cameron.
Meanwhile, the United States international, who is contracted to Stoke until 2018, also reportedly attracted interest from Bournemouth and Hull City on deadline day.
Massachusetts-born Cameron joined Stoke in the summer of 2012 and has since played 130 league games for the Potters. He has made two appearances for the club this term.
