Here’s how the Brentford players rated in their 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.

David Raya 7

Looked confident under the high ball and vocal throughout. His usually pinpoint distribution was a little wayward on occasions and he was guilty of making the wrong choice of pass once or twice.

Henrik Dalsgaard 8

Steady as ever. Dealt with the threat of Diangana down the left well. A real leader who has only grown along side his Scandinavian teammate.

Rico Henry 8

Superb going forward, superb in defence. Overlapped Benrahma countless times, pinning Matty Phillips right back, eliminating his attacking threat. Hit the restart ground running!

Ethan Pinnock 8

Looks ten times the player he was at the start of the season. Gone are the nerves that he seemed to emit when under pressure, and his reading of the game was impeccable, snuffing out many through balls in the second half.

Wimbledon Times: BenrahmaBenrahma

Pontus Janssen 8

A different side when he plays. His presence is almost Virgil van Dijk-esque. Hal Robson Kanu and Kenneth Zahore both had very little change from the Swede.

Christian Norgaard 9

Always does the work no one notices. Today he got under the skin of Costa Pereira no end. The Baggies midfielder’s frustration was clear to see and Norgaard’s constant harassment of West Brom’s playmaker was key in halting Slaven Bilic’s side.

Emiliano Marcondes 7

Earning his stating berth after an impressive cameo against Fulham, the midfielder backed it up with a solid performance against a powerful Baggies side. Didn’t shy away from the physical game of Jake Livermore and linked defence and attack up seamlessly.

Josh Dasilva  9

Possibly his best performance in a Brentford strip. Turned defence into attack numerous times with a dip of the shoulder and a turn of speed. Dictated large spells of the game with his vision and calmness on the ball. Superb.

Saed Benrahma 9

A Premiership player in waiting, hopefully with Brentford. Oozing skill, speed and confidence, you could see the West Brom backline baking off the trickster. Throw in a Bergkamp-esque turn that won’t be forgotten, sadly for Romaine Sawyers, it was a near floorless performance.

Tariq Fosu 7

Took time to get into the pace of the game but showed his quality with some fabulously quick feet.

Ollie Watkins 8

The complete forward? Scored a poachers goal that will make Thomas Frank very happy. Strong in the air against two powerful centre backs, giving just as good as he got. Lead the line well and dovetailed superbly with Fosu, Benrahma and then Mbeumo. Fire up the BMW.

 SUBS:

 Kamohelo Mokotjo 7

Added some bite to the Bees midfield when the Baggies looked to be getting the upper hand.

Bryan Mbeumo 7

Looked lively, showed some fabulous footwork and nearly got the goal to make the game safe.

Shandon Baptiste 7

Neat and tidy and looked totally at ease in the high pressured encounter.
