The team at Mecca Bingo Rosehill is calling out to locals to laugh the night away as the club is hosting a night of comedy presented by Joke Club Comedy Clubs, on Friday 21 July.

Hosted by the multi-talented Miles Crawford, two headline acts will take to the stage at 9.30pm, with great prizes on offer during the bingo session beforehand.

Acts on the night include musical stand up, Richard Morton, who has been in the business for more than 20 years. In 1990, he was a founding member of the Comedy Store’s topical Cutting Edge show and in 1997, he was given his special edition of Channel 5’s stand-up show The Comedy Store. He also currently has his own show on Radio 4.

He has also been a frequent support act on UK tours, warming up for the likes of Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Jo Brand, Lily Savage and Phill Jupitus.

The second established act, Wayne Trice, provides comedy magic. His two passions are music and theatre. Wayne has performed in the West End and became a professional magician in 2011. He is equally comfortable performing close up magic or presenting a unique stage show.
We will also present two promising newcomers who are currently making a name for themselves around the UK comedy circuit.

Bingo fans will be able to ‘draw’ their dabbers for the usual early session from 7pm, after which the show will commence.

Jason Bird, general manager at Mecca Rosehill, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming locals into the club for a good old laugh.

“Whether you want to play some bingo first or simply want to come and watch the comedy acts, there are options available for everyone.”

For those just attending the comedy show, general admission is £5.  For new members, or those introducing a new member who would like to join in the bingo, the £5 admission charge will cover the cost of your books.

To attend a Mecca Club you need to be aged 18 years or over - please bring photo ID to prove you are over 18’.
