On Wednesday 7th June a group of volunteers from M&S in Colliers Wood came to Age UK Merton to spend the day working in our garden making it look beautiful. They all worked their socks off all day and transformed the garden by painting the sheds, weeding, painting plant pots, decorating the garden with gnomes, rabbits and other bits and pieces.
In the afternoon we held a party to thank our volunteers for all their hard work over the past year and M&S kindly donated food and drinks. Last years Mayor of Merton, Cllr Brenda Fraser came to the party which gave us a chance to thank her for choosing us as one of her charities whilst she was the Mayor.
Luckily, the sun made an appearance which made the garden party a roaring success.
A massive thank you to everyone involved!
