Beloved Strictly Come Dancing star Bobby Brazier is set to return to EastEnders as Freddie Slater, the BBC has confirmed.

The actor, who was one of the runner-ups on the ballroom programme, previously pulled out of the London-based soap opera to take a short break from the show.

In a post on X, formally known as Twitter, the BBC also announced that 'Big' Mo Harris would be making a return to Walford.

The broadcaster said: "Mo Harris is on her way back to #EastEnders, this spring! Mo arrives back alongside great-grandson Freddie Slater and where Mo goes, trouble inevitably follows…"

EastEnders fans quickly took to social media to share their excitement over Bobby Brazier returning as Freddie Slater.

One BBC viewer wrote: "Can't wait to see @bobbyjbrazier back as Freddie Slater in EastEnders," while another added: "Love this. Just amazing."

Another user, who was also excited to have Mo Harris back, wrote: "Omg so glad she’s coming back and with Freddie too even better."

Other fans were also happy to see the return of Mo, with one saying: "I'm thrilled that Big Mo is coming back to Walford for good this time to create more drama and chaos.

"Big Mo's recent series of short stints have seen her embroiled in a drugs farm with Ruby Jean & Shirley & stay in a caravan park with Jean."

One user simply added: "Love Mo. She’s always entertaining to watch," while another said: "Yes great news!!!!! Should never of left in first place!!!!"
