Chelsea's Stamford Bridge stadium has had its 5G network switched on by network operator Three.
The firm has said it is the first ground in the Premier League to have 5G coverage in its entirety.ย
The network operator has introduced new equipment throughout the stands and concourse areas of the stadium in London.
Three customers who have 5G-enabled phones will be able to access the 5G coverage throughout the stadium.
To mark the occasion, former Chelsea players Geremi Njitap, Gianfranco Zola, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Rob Green and William Gallas visited the stadium.

4G coverage has also been expanded to boost the signal for those with older phones, making it easier for fans to access social media and stream video.ย

There are plans to install 5G coverage at Kingsmeadow, Kingston-upon-Thames, the home of Chelsea Women, and at Cobham, Surrey, the clubโs training ground.
