A Jewish nursery has been awarded an outstanding report after a recent Ofsted inspection.

Apples and Honey, based on the edge of Wimbledon, is an independent Jewish nursery that caters for children of all faiths centred on the values and traditions of Judaism.

A spokesman for Ofsted said: “The nursery is outstanding in meeting the needs of children.

“There are meticulous procedures in place to ensure all children are treated as individuals, whose care and education is of paramount importance.”

Naomi Reiniger, mother of Matilda who attends the nursery, said: “Our daughter has thrived during her time at nursery thanks to the care and dedication of her teachers and the positive interaction she shares with her class mates.”

Nursery principal Judith Ish-Horowicz said: “Judaism has given us the perfect structure through which to cover all areas of learning in a stimulating way.”
