PROTEST AGAINST PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN CHURCH ROAD FRIDAY 17 FEBRUARY AT 9.45 am Merton Council have removed parking within Church Road in the village, before 10am and after 4pm. Monday to Saturday.
This is going to have serious implications for short term parking in the centre of the village and will particularly hit the shops and businesses in Church Road.
We are planning to meet the Council to discuss this but, in the meantime, we need to voice our concern and show our support for the businesses in Church Road.
We are therefore organising a press photograph and asking as many of you as possible to attend for 10 minutes on Friday 17th February at 9.45am before most of the shops open and when the parking restrictions are in place.
We hope you will be able to attend to show your support.
