A Solent University graduate has gained her first platinum record. 

Jo Howarth was awarded a platinum disc for her part in managing Jazzy who scored a huge hit with Giving Me, which has been streamed 150 million times. 

The artist manager from Attention Management then handed the framed disc onto Solent University, in recognition of its role in her career.

At a special ceremony, the Music Business graduate said: "It’s my pleasure to pass on my first plaque to Solent. I owe so much of my success to the University and the tutors who taught me, so it feels right for this to find a home on the wall!"

As an artist manager, Jo has been instrumental in Jazzy’s top 3 spot in the Official UK Singles Chart and a BRIT nomination for Best International Song.

She has also worked with Dua Lipa, Lana Del Rey and James Arthur. 

Jo regularly returns to Solent to give guest lectures and offer mentorship.

The platinum disc now sits proudly in The Spark building, inspiring current students.
