A teenager has been taken to hospital after a crash in Wimbledon.
Police were called to Merton High Street just after 2am today (July 17) after reports of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian.
A male pedestrian aged in his late teens was taken to hospital for treatment.
His injuries were assessed as not life threatening.
A road closure was put in place at the scene. It was removed shortly before 7.30am.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called to Merton High Street at about 2.03am on Monday 17 July following reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
"The male pedestrian aged in his late teens, was taken to hospital for treatment.
"His injuries were assessed as not life threatening.
"A road closure was put in place at the scene. It was removed shortly before 7.30am."
