THE Ship’s Bell, one-of-a-kind name signage and a wooden ship’s steering wheel are just some of the items under the hammer as a charity auction gets under way to raise funds for the Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST).
More than 30 lots have gone up for auction as part of the JST’s Jubilee Auction, with top lots including a cottage holiday stay in Cornwall, a signed England Rugby shirt and a private tour of the British Library.
There are also several lots containing historical memorabilia from tall sailing ships STS Lord Nelson and SV Tenacious, from plaques to paintings.
The auction, which runs until the end of June, aims to raise funds for the Ocean Village sailing charity’s Covid Recovery Campaign. It needs to raise £1.2million before September in order to stay afloat.
