A clear favourite has been identified to become the next Newcastle United manager following Steve Bruce’s departure.
Paulo Fonseca has been installed as the bookies' pick to take over the reins at the club.
The former Roma manager, who was replaced by Jose Mourinho, has been priced as low as ½ to be named as the next boss on Tyneside.
He replaces previous favourites Lucien Favre and Eddie Howe, who remain in with a shot according to the bookmakers.
Ex-Dortmund boss Favre is priced a 7/4 in some places, while Howe, without a job since leaving Bournemouth in 2020 is 3/1 in some places.
Other big names linked with the new vacancy at Newcastle are Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Belgium boss Roberto Martinez.
