A TEENAGER who was arrested in a drugs bust last week has been released and will face no further action.

The 18-year-old woman was arrested alongside a 31-year-old man in a raid on Wessex House guest house in Kings Furlong last Tuesday (April 27).

Kirk Matthews has since been charged with drug dealing, possession of a firearm and possessing stolen goods, and appeared in court last week.

Now, police have confirmed that the woman arrested in the raid will face no further action.

It was heard in a separate hearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court last Thursday that Mr Matthews was allegedly in possession of £22,000 of cash and a Rolex watch valued at £11,000 at the time of his arrest.

Magistrates granted police a six-month extension to hold onto the goods, with police claiming the money was gained through “unlawful conduct”.

Police officers raided Wessex House at 10pm on April 27, and have charged the 31-year-old with two counts of possession with intent to supply cannabis, two counts of possession of a illegal firearm and one count of possessing stolen goods.

Mr Matthews has not yet entered any pleas, and will appear before Winchester Crown Court on June 2.
