CCTV footage of the last confirmed sighting of missing Bournemouth woman April Howatt has been released as police continue to search for her.

The 57-year-old was last been seen just before 4pm on Tuesday, February 23, in the area of the Kings Park Hospital.

When she left there, she was due to take a bus home, but has not returned as expected.

The footage shows April leaving Kings Park Hospital and walking along Gloucester Road in the direction of Christchurch Road at around 4pm.

Police say they have received a report that April was seen in the area of Boscombe Bus Station in Ashley Road, walking towards Christchurch Road, shortly after 4pm the same day.

However, the sighting has not yet been confirmed.

April is described as white, five feet two inches tall and of stocky build. She was wearing a black skirt, purple top and fishnet stockings and had a lot of hair clips in her hair. She normally uses a metal pole as a walking stick.

Chief Inspector Greg Tansill, of Dorset Police, said: “Our enquiries to locate April are ongoing and we are continuing to appeal for anyone with information as to her whereabouts to please come forward."

He added: “I would appeal to residents with home CCTV camera systems in the area of Gloucester Road, Woodland Walk, Christchurch Road and Ashley Road in Boscombe to please check their footage from the afternoon of Tuesday 23 February onwards and contact us if they have captured anything relevant.

"I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area and has dashcam fitted to please check their footage.”
