Three men have been charged with the murder of Paul Dalton after he was stabbed to death on the Broadway in Wimbledon.

Mr Dalton, 41, was found with a stab wound to the leg in the early hours of Wendesday, January 13, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives investigating the murder case have charged Mongo Bolili, 33, of Merton, with murder.

Ian Matu, 26, and Danny Webster, 30, both from Merton, have now also been charged by police with perverting the course of justice.

Met Police officers were called to an address on the Broadway in Wimbledon on January 13 at around 00:55hrs after reports of a stabbing.

Paul Dalton, 41, was found with stab injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin are being supported by specialist officers. 

A special post-mortem examination was held on Thursday, 14 January, and the cause of death was given as stab wound to the leg.

Both Matu and Bolili 

appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Friday, 15 January where they were both further remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey. 

Bolili will next appear on Tuesday, 19 January, and Matu on Friday, 12 February.

Webster, the latest to be charged, will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Saturday, 16 January.

A 53-year-old man [A] who was also arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail to a date in early February.
